Live Online Education:  

• You will participate in live, interactive Zoom classes led by a knowledgeable instructor. No prerecorded or scripted lessons, all lessons are authentically taught and adjusted to individual level of knowledge, curiosity, and needs. Expect to dedicate 2-3 hours per week to these sessions, plus additional time for homework assignments.  The curriculum will equip you with a strong foundation in:
  • The history and science of psilocybin
  • The therapeutic effects of psilocybin-assisted therapy
  • Trip sitting principles and best practices
  • Techniques for creating a safe and supportive container for healing journeys
  • Communication skills for effective trip sitting
  • Harm reduction strategies for psilocybin use

In-Person Hands-On Retreat Experience:  

• You will play an active and vital role during the in-person, all-inclusive retreat in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. You will gain practical skills and develop your confidence in supporting individuals in a safe and compassionate manner, all while enjoying a dream vacation to a stunning beach-side private villa in Jamaica. 

Capstone Project: 

• After the in-person retreat, you will complete a capstone project that allows you to synthesize your learnings and demonstrate your understanding of trip sitting principles. 
• This project involves creating everything you need to start practicing professional trip sitting upon graduation.

• Experienced at least one transformative hero dose psychedelic experience with psilocybin. 
• Participated in at least one Anam Cara House Retreat as a participant, was fully present and involved in each step of the preparation, in-person retreat, and integration. 
• A willingness and ability to commit to the full program; including all online classes, homework, and hands-on experience requirements for the entire duration. 
• (For Detroit Program Only) Ability to travel to and from the retreat center in the Detroit Metro Area for the dates of the retreat, flights not included.
• (For Jamaican Program Only) A current, valid passport
• (For Jamaican Program Only) Ability to travel to and from Montego Bay International Airport in Jamaica for the dates of the retreat, flights not included.
