Our mission is to gather the vast kaleidoscope of professional practitioners and experienced psychonauts together, in intimate no-ego spaces, to think, create, and ultimately move the art and science of psilocybin forward.

Hand-picked professionals plucked from the front lines of science, dug up deep from underground of psychedelic sitters, enticed from the spiritual circles of ancient heritages, and wooed from the armchairs of therapists, philosophers, and cutting-edge thinkers around the world, all united with the intention of moving their practice of psilocybin-enhanced healing forward.
The Four Founding Agreements
1. We Do Not Own Psilocybin
As authentic practitioners of psilocybin, we know to our core that this medicine does not belong to one single human or group of humans, no matter how powerful, wise, or experienced they may be.
2. Equality & Diversity of Thought
Throughout the history of humanity, the experience and practice of psilocybin is as fluid and varied as the humans who have consumed them. We recognize diversity in humans, so to must we recognize diversity in ethical modern practices.
3. The Welcoming of Novel Ideas
The world has need of modern practices to answer the call of modern humans. The purpose of The Philosophers Society is to live in the creative essence of psilocybin, producing new and novel ways to practice. A playground for ethical practitioners to create anew.
4. Egos at the Door
Resumes and professional clout can ruin equality of thought, dampen creativity, and give birth to the great evils of group think. We run on a first name basis only – bonus points for resurrecting childhood nicknames or other meaningful monikers. Professional identities are shared at the conclusion of events.
The Psychedelic Philosophers Retreat Experience
Thought-leading professionals and experienced psychonauts are hand-picked to attend a small, private philosopher retreat in legalized locations around the world. After accepting the invitation, philosophers attend a two-week online preparation course to lay the foundations for the unique, thought provoking, and theory-amplifying experience.
After the two-week online preparation course, philosophers meet for the 4-day in-person retreat at a private villa in a psychedelically-legalized location. During the retreat, time is spent basking in the joys of psychedelic experiences, philosophical round-tables, and finding answers to todays most interesting psychedelic questions.

To avoid the great evils of inflated egos and group think, philosophers run on a first name basis until all parts of the retreat have concluded. Professional identities are shared at the conclusion of events.
After the retreat, all co-created modalities and round-table discussions are published and widely spread with each retreat participant listed as an author.
The purpose of the philosophers retreat is to question the current understanding of psilocybin, recognize our own blind spots, and cocreate new and novel ideas with respected professionals from other walks of life.

Who are we looking for?
Therapists, scientists, trip sitters, shamans, psychonauts, spiritual leaders, native leaders, growers, retreat leaders and so on. If you know a thing or two about psilocybin and would love to be a part of this incredible think tank, please apply.
We are particularly looking for psychonauts with any of the following:
- intimate experience facilitating life-changing psilocybin journeys
- a unique, under-represented perspective on psilocybin
- in-depth perspective on the science of psilocybin
- well developed alternative healing modalities that pair well with psychedelic healing
- intimate experience serving unique, specific, or diverse populations
